Blogiversary Giveaway!

Before the holidays, I remembered that I started this blog right at the new year last year. I checked the exact date and it was Jan. 3, 2011. So that means today is my first blogiversary! And...it's my 100th post!

My first blogiversary/100th post seems like a great time for my first giveaway! So I'm giving away a Winter Lace Cricut Cartridge. Winter Lace felt appropriate for how cold its about to get here in Huntsville. More details including how to enter later.

It's been an interesting year and this blog has definitely been a source of positivity and productivity in my life. My sewing room doesn't quite look as organized as it did just short of a year ago. This time last year I was still assembling it though. I remember watching the Arkansas-Ohio State Sugar Bowl game while assembling the shelves.

I refined the look of the blog what feels like a million times with little tweaks here and there but recently it got a whole redo.

First Artist Alley Booth

I tried my hand at the artist alley of Persacon and sold some, but not nearly as much as I hoped. The mustaches were a hit though! I've decided to take the leftovers and start an etsy store this year, so be on the look out! (Don't worry, I'll tell you.) And other than my niece, I had an entirely handmade Christmas.

I also made one of the costumes that's been on my list for about 2 years. It was pretty much a dream costume, but one I figured with enough time, I could accomplish. AND I DID! I made a few others, but this is my favorite of the year!

Resolutions for the year, sewing wise, have already been made. Otherwise: lose more weight, make more papery things with the cricut and become a little more adventurous with it. And check my mail more often!
