|Not too shabby|
Step 1: Paint the canvas orange. FYI: don't bother with the bowls, just pour the paint on the canvas. I think it took about 3 coats?
Step 2: measure and cut out vinyl Thanksgiving from Cricut Word Collage cartridge. I used brown. Tips I learned: get all the bubbles out beforehand of the vinyl, otherwise, some of the letters might start to come up too soon.
Step 3: Peel the negative off the backing, BUT NOT THE LETTERS. This was a lot of vinyl, so I was taking it off in pieces and cutting away what I'd already gone through. Still, I lost about 3-4 letters in the process. I's were the hardest. Also, the negative includes parts like the inside of an A. I found that the tool from the cricut tool kit that looks like a dentist's pick worked best for this.
Step 4: put a layer of transfer tape over the letters. I have off brand transfer tape, so I'm not sure if what I found out is relevant to provocraft. But, I found that I needed to run something flat (I used the ruler looking thing in the cricut tool kit) over it to press the transfer tape good into the letters. Then I peeled slowly back to make sure I got it all.
Step 5: place transfer taped letters onto the canvas. Again, I rubbed the tape with something flat. Now peel off the transfer tape. SLOWLY. I also put some force down right below where I was peeling to push down the letters.
